About FTGlee Programs

Fabrefaction Theatre Company is proud to present a new and exciting addition to our acclaimed educational programming: FTGlee! Based on a “glee club” or show choir model, FTGlee’s goal is to further the talent and musical education of young singers age 9 to 13. Led by Fabrefaction’s enthusiastic Musical Director, Nick Silvestri, and fostered in a professional theatre environment, FTGlee is a dynamic and comprehensive choral program unlike any other in the metro area!

How does it work, you ask? FTGlee takes popular music (beloved songs from hit musicals, new songs currently on the radio, and more!) and transforms them into choral masterworks which the students discover, learn, and then perform. FTGlee offers its students the same expert training used in classical music education while encouraging the students through fun music that the students love and have a blast learning! FTGlee is so much more than just learning vocal techniques – performances and showcases incorporate singing, choreography, lighting, and sound design. Students will make new friends, participate in fun activities and performances, and develop and foster a lasting love for choral music.

The benefits of FTGlee go far beyond the stage. In a recent Chorus Impact Study by Chorus America, results show that 70% of parents said their child is more self-confident, more self-disciplined, and developed better memory skills while 80% of educators and parents say that choir participation enhances numerous aspects of a child’s academic success (including better grades) and social development. Fabrefaction Theatre Company is proud to present FTGlee as part of our mission to perpetuate a new generation of artists, patrons, and supporters!
